Before you write

• Make sure you’re on the latest version of HzHold from the Mac App Store.
• Keep the app open while you need the display held at the higher refresh rate.
• HzHold only affects compatible variable‑refresh (e.g., ProMotion/VRR) displays. Fixed‑rate displays will not change.

FAQ

Does HzHold increase an app’s frame rate? No. HzHold requests a higher display scan‑out rate. App rendering performance is unchanged.

Does it work on non‑ProMotion Macs? It has no practical effect on fixed‑rate displays. You can still run the app; battery use may be slightly higher while active.

Is there any network activity? No. HzHold does not contact the internet.

When you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments. We use this only to respond to your request and to improve the app. To have your support emails deleted from our mailbox, just ask.
